I was thinking of dedicating a thread to Exhaust videos. Please post videos of your custom exhaust. It doesn't matter what model Yamaha you ride. It would be cool to have one post where you can hear alot of different types. Refer to the youtube thread to post your vids here. In your post describe the bike you ride, and the pipes that are on it.

Here is a 2001 Roadstar (my friends) with Roadhouse Dualexhaust. I will post the Vmax with Cobra, and another Roadstar with RoadChrome Slip-ons.

man they all sound great, i have a stock 2000 classic 650, sounds ok stock, but i have a dodge ram, when i bought it, it had flow master 40 series, very nice but the wife could not here her self think, so i steped down to 60 series, nice sound and rummble, but the truck sounds better then bike, ive serched the forums but this is new to me, may be yens, thats pittsburgh slang, can please help me out. ive seen where you can drill the 3/8 hole 3 of them and then move on to cutting out the first cone then long-gate the 3 holes for better sound, with out rejetting. i hate to runin stock pipes, but it is 8yrs old, but its a super clean bike with only 6300 miles on it. what are slip-ons do they slip over the stock pipes, or do half the stock pipes come off, with out unbolting from engine ? does rejetting cost alot, can it cause proformance problems down the road. thanks bruce

Slipons attach to the stock so there is no nead to remove the whole exhuast. Some slipons you don't have to rejet, but I think it all depends on what type of slipons you put on. Slipons tend to cost alot less than a full exhaust.

This is great! All we need now is some videos of Stratoliner/Roadliner exhausts. I desperately want to change my stock exhaust for more noise but don't want to mess around with power commanders etc.

If anyone has the Roadburner Double Eagle pipes, I would sure like to hear those! My Cobra Speedster Slashdowns are louder than I'd hoped and am looking for a quieter, but still macho, alternative.

    Double Eagle pipes

While these files don't often produce the true sound of an exhaust, they still give you some idea when comparing them to others. These Double Eagles with SLT seem to produce a deep resonating tone that's mildly loud, but less so than some of the other exhaust systems out there.

    Take care.

Thanks Morg. Have you heard any of these in person? That one's a bit hard to judge from. Their web site claim a reduction of only 3~5 decibels which is almost nothing, so I'm hoping that's a misprint. I don't want to spend that much $ until I can hear a more true sound to compare.

Just broke in my new v star 950, and I'm ready for some new pipes!
I know Cobra has some already, but I had a service tech tell me with cobra you get what you pay for and to keep looking. Has anybody found other available brands yet? What's the quality of Cobra? Any feed back would be greatly appreciated
