Vstar 1100 Custom parts (any turn signal/ brake mods)

Im thinking of doing some mods to the bike - everything from a rejetting the carb / dyno / air intake - Im essentially wanting to put a little more power out of the bike, at the same point Im trying to save some $$ while doing it. I was curious if anyone knows of any good sites to go to to get any parts / info on those types of mods. I have a friend that can help me do the work so Im not worried too much about the work. How about lowering the bike? anyone have any pictures of a lowered vstar custom?
Also Im wanting to change the rear of the bike - maybe bullet style signals?

I will put some better pics on here soon, but below is a link to my bike. It is a lowered custom with a chopped up rear fender, side mounted license plate (which u cant see in the pics) and NO turn signals
Also has a golden green pearl paint with pin stripes down the center (u cant see in these pics well either).

good looking bike, Im thinking I want to clean my bike up a bit, my 1100 custom has a very "classic" look to it with the engine guard / highway passing lights, saddle bags, and the floorboards as well...Im wanting to do things like put the picense plate side mounted, and either LED combined Brake/Turn signals or something as well... thanks!
