Don't know if there are better out there, but I have always used the NGK with no problems.

You can read about plugs here sloneservices.com/SilverBack/VStar1100-FAQ-04.htm#Plugs and then cross reference here angelfire.com/extreme4/skidoolympique/SPARK_PLUG_CROSS_REFERENCE.htm with different manufacturers. I myself just use the stock NGK's.

The link to the Knowledge Base has some great info ...

It's been my experience that you can spend a lot more money on plugs, but those stock $1.99 NGK's will work every bit as good with the 1100's ignition system. I'm on the same set (re-gapped twice) for 3 years.

You can’t go wrong with OEM parts (according to your warranty and dealer), but you can sometimes do better. Splitfire and some others make a good plug that clame better spark and ignition. Make sure you do some homework before you stray from the OEM plugs, Mama Yamaha uses them for a reason, NGK makes good plugs.

Maybe it's just me, but for as cheap as the plugs are, I just replace them every spring. I'm sure I could get a lot more mileage out of them, but for something as cheap as plugs, I would prefer to replace them before I have an issue with them.
