I have a Cortech Super Mini tank bag from a previous bike. Put it on the bike today and it fit ok. I probably would use it on long trips, and the saddlebags for short rides.
This link will take you to New Enough for further info.

Highwayman, just wondered if you are still satisfied with your tank bag. I'm looking at the super mini or a windsheild bag for a trip to Colorado this summer. I agree they are ugly, but need the space.

I bought a "Handle Bar" bag which works great for my Cell phone, wallet and glasses. I also patched in a 12 volt power receptor for my phone charger and GPS unit. Works Great

Does it attach behind the windsheild?

It ties to the handle bar with a couple of leather straps. Picture isn't great but it will give you an idea

I used it twice and it was handy. The other tank bag I have is a 15 liter Marsee. The Marsee would have looked like shoes on a duck. Guess it boils down to personal preference.

Nope; put it on my wish list for Santa, and he failed. As spring gets closer, I'll probably get one. daytonagear.com/products.htm#.

I have one about the size of the one you are looking at....big enough to hold the essentials...I bought it shortly after I got the bike several months ago. I find that I rarely ever need or want to use it anymore though. What I could put into the bag can just as easily be put into jacket pockets. Anything larger, it goes into the saddlebag

I think I'll just go with a windshield bag. Chase Harper makes a plain jane nylon bag that will strap to the windshield support. It will cover the ignition switch but I can deal with that.

All I wanted was a small bag, so I got the Joe Rocket Manta in solid black to match my bike. I got it at my Star dealer, but you can find it online as well.

I like it because it is small, cheap, and it straddles the chrome bezel using just 3 of the 4 magnets. I fold the 4th magnet tab into a slot (made just for that) and the other 3 magnets hold it on perfectly. No scratches yet!

Sorry I don't have a picture, my bike is hibernating through the New England winter.

    Check it at joerocket.com/catalog/index.cfm/251/164/Luggage/Manta_Tank_Bag?CFID=5724746&CFTOKEN=50404259

Received a tank bag for Christmas...It comes off of a Yamaha Raider and fits the 950 perfectly. Check it out! Can get it from Yamaha Accessories.

$110 list -- A bit pricey, but I do like the look. The chrome in the middle of the 950 tank doesn't interfere with mounting the bag?

Better yet -- got any pix?

Most bags magnets are located on the edges of the bags. So most likely, any tank bag would fit.

No, it doesn't interfere as the semi-circle fits right up against the speedometer. Covers the long part of the chrome. The bag does have the option to expand about another 1 1/2 inches. Its perfect for carrying cell phone, money (if you have any left), sunglasses, maps, etc. I can't send a pic at the moment as my bike is in storage..winter here in the Midwest. I personally am pleased with the styling it gives my bike and I am partial to Yamaha equipment.

Hi. I've been in touch with GMan Industries, and they make a great looking tank bib for our bike. It's not available with a pocket, because of the clearance on our bikes. Here's the link.... gmanindustries.com/product_info.php?cPath=59&products_id=207

I'll be ordering one this spring.

Okay...it would help if I read the original post properly! You're obviously looking for a tank BAG. *backing away quietly....nevermind*

I have the Mustang Tank Bib w/POCKET. It has edge stitching that matches the stitching on the Mustang seats.
