anyone found an inexpensive electronic tach that works on 2000 vstar 1100 custom. i have seen some that use mech cable but i dont have the mech cable and have never had a tach on bike

i thought i had seen elect versions that wire to coil, anyone got any examples, maybe something for about 70.00 or less, mount to 1 in handlebars

I don't know about inexpensive but the only one I like is the Pro-One tach. I think it attaches to a your coil wire.

the white-faced chrome one on the bottom looks good. Now if only I had money burning a hole in my pocket.

Not sure you'll find much for a dual fire 2 cylinder in that price range. But keep may find something used.

Make sure you get the pull back one. I got mine as a kit on E-bay and it didn't come with risers. On Straight risers it is a blinder on sunny days. Just so you know that one won't fit the stock risers. The holes don't form a perfect rectangle, it takes the angled risers LOL a trapezoid. Something from Mr. Boyd's Geometry class 35 yrs ago.
