I have a 99 v-star 1100 and it was back firing threw the cab and out the tail pipe on the back cylinder. I found the air-fuel mixing screws tip was broken. But not thinking! (I'm good at that) When i removed the screw i did not check where it was set at. I have looked in the book in the book but it does not tell me where to set the screw so when i start I am in the ball part of where it should be. I have stock parts but the exhaust has been changed. I sure could use some help. thanks azdeinz
Start at about 3 to 3.5 turns out. That should get you close enough that you can fine tune it from there.
