So What Do Ya'll Think (Rear Clean Up)

So I love the way this bike (2000 1100 Classic) looks with the exception of the rear end!!! I guess it's just not my style. I couldn't stand the rear turn signals, and since I never use them (I use hand signals) I figured I would just take them off. I wasn't sure how I was going to re-mount the license plate, so I figured I would try my hand at making a side mount bracket. This is the end result, and I just want to get some opinions from all of ya'll to see what ya'll think.

I used spent .45 casings that I had at the house to plug the holes where the wires came through the fender. I saw that on this site before, I'm just not sure who did it. So if it was your idea to use them, I hope you don't mind that I used your idea.

With that being said, let me know what you guys think on how I did.

Looks good, did you put any thought into the flush mount tail light?

I guess I should have mentioned that on my original post. I am looking at doing a tail light mod. I like the look of the flushmount lights, but I don't want to spend the money on one of the afterMarget ones (I like doing all the work and modifications that I can myself).

I've seen on the forums that some guys have used a trailer LED light for their brake light and I would like to do the same thing, but I can't find the thread that this mod is on. If anyone could point me in the right direction to locate this "how to", it would be much appreciated due to the fact that I've been looking for about two hours with no luck.

You can try it's all 650 mods but the tail light mod is in there. I wanted to do a flush mount but I want the right light to do it with.

I see your location is Florida. Are you sure that side mount plate is legal? I considered adding a side mount to my bike, but I will ride into Florida on occasion, and thought the law prohibited anything that couldn't be viewed from both sides of the bike. In other words, a center mount plate. Without rear signals too, you might be asking for it. I'm not trying to be a buzz kill here, but I think the fine for just the plate is over $1000.

I have been looking for anything about side mounts and can't find it, but I do see a lot of bikes out there with them and they don't seem to be having any problems.

I think it all depends on the LEO,most don't think twice about it.

It's probably one of those tickets like seat belts, you don't get it unless you get stopped for something else.
