I would like to bring my handle bars back about two inches and maybe an inch higher. What am I looking for on risers? Will the riser height listed be above stock or just above the forks?

Has any one done this minor adjustment? Did you have to change the cables and brake hoses or just reroute them?

Over the winter I installed a set of risers on mine. They are a 3X3 riser which pretty much covers exactly what your looking for. I have a 1100 classic. Most recommend changing the brake line but I didn't have to do it. I chose to keep my bars a little higher so changing the line wasn't needed.

Tim Boudrant is the proprietor and very knowledgeable on most Yamaha's. He comes highly recommended by most that know him.

I agree... contact Tim. Best prices around and great advice as well. As mentioned above ...the 3X3 riser would work great...and you should be able to keep everything stock on cables etc,,,,

So will the 3X3 risers move the bars up and back 3 inches above the top of the triple tree or stock location?

    Yes.....

I think the stock risers are like 1"? If that is true, you'd end up with a difference of 2" up and 3" back.

I went with the Pro One risers.

    They give you a 4" rise, with a 1 1/2" pullback.
