Has anybody tried this? I have an extra air box and thought I might give it a try. I saw this on the net the other night and seems like it may be a good alternative, I kinda like the air filter cover on the bike and would like to keep it.

I'd like to know about this as well. There's an ad on eBay about the modification. It looks like it might just be instructions.

The thing that stuck out to me was the part about how a stock cleaner can choke and pull crank case oil into the air delivery system. Last time I went to clean out my air filter I noticed oil in the cover. I just cleaned it out not knowing how it got there and this might be it.

Any thoughts on this? The pics look cool. But again, it looks like you are only buying instructions on how to do it.

Sounds like just instructions to me too, but having looked at the filter assembly it can't be to hard to do, just need the proper tools.

I had to google what RAM filter mode was . I found this:

    vstar.brazilmission.net/

It looks like instructions and some small parts. I'm just wondering what about riding in the rain and water coming through these big holes?

Thanks for the links, that is what I was after. I like the looks of the one from Tony Anlazone.
