I waited a bit to publish some pictures; didn’t want to bore you all with photos of a completely stock 13.

    View pic's here.

    Things added and modified:
    · Debadged
    · Renfield’s famous horn relocation
    · Star contour leather bags
    · Star Backrest with Custom Back Pad
    · Memphis Shades Fat Windshield w/quick release
    · Baron Nostalgia Bars
    · Küryakyn ISO Grips w/ duel Throttle Boss
    · Cheap-ass chrome license plate bracket + bullet bolts (walmart).

Thanks to 9Sdarz + T Star for their input on the bars and grips.
I would like to remove the Stan chrome strips on the tank, but I like the look of something there to break things up. Does anyone know of any good looking replacement strips? I’m not into flames however. I’m also still in a reflector conundrum; I don’t want to part with ‘visibility’ at night. I thought about a few LED’s but I need to give the wife’s checkbook a break for a little while;-> Glo-strips... don't know if I like them.

No name for the bike yet. Maybe we should have a name contest!

Nice lookin' bike. Don't get too much too fast or you'll go broke. Believe me, I speak from experience. You gotta get rid of the stock exhaust though. I love the sound of my HK pipes.

Very nice pictures of a very cool looking bike. There are some optional chrome tank replacement strips available...VStar, DragStar, and possibly others.

Looks Good, I would peel em and take it to a good airbrush guy and have him put it on in silver....but make sure it says Star.

Yes it's True! Black is Beautiful.

How much pull back did you add with the Nostalgia bars? They look nice with the ISO grips.

That cheap license plate frame smudged your numbers...but you knew that.

    Nice job!

The bars have the same pull back in inches as the stock bars, I believe 13 1/2"; however, due to the style of the bar my hands are actually about 3 inches back. The bars fit me well as I like the feel of low, wide and back.

Edit: In fact the stock bars are 13" pull back, the barons nostalgia are 13 1/2, but again, the geometry of the bars gives much more pull back.

My shield is a 17" Memphis 'Fat' (I'm 5'10 1/2) and I'm currently running with the stock seat which sits you up high. In a relaxed position the top of the shield comes lip high for me; so I'm getting pretty much a full face wind. Given that, the bugs rarely hit me in the face as the shield tends to push the air upward. The body stays well protected, buffeting isn't bad. Many here on this forum complain about the yammi shield producing a lot of updraft; lowers will cure that.

By the way, that shield comes in a 13" - 17" 19" and 21" as well as a number of colors. Shop around as the prices can be quite a bit different. I purchased off of the local yammi shop because they gave me %15 off and free installation at the time of the bike purchase.

thanks for the info. I'm 6.3 and a bit and i sat on the 1300 T and THAT windshield would have worked perfectly, just below eye level. But that is taller than any of the memphis shades. I dont really want the look of a big huge porker on there anyway.

i have a memphis slim 17" on the way, it is a great size to keep the bugs and wind away from me but small enough where the look doesnt take away from teh bike itself. the quick release is awesome btw.
