Can anyone out there tell me if these will void the Yamaha warranty?

NO! It's covered in the law at the link below......

    ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/buspubs/warranty.shtm#Magnuson-Mossto
This is the law that allows you to alter your bike and maintain the warranty.

Thanks Ravhite. I sure didn't want to install this and risk voiding the warranty. Especially since I purchased the YES plan also. Still don't know if that was a good idea. I guess time will tell.

One thing to know about the YES that they normally don't tell is that you can cancel it at any time and receive a reimbursement. It is good to have if you sell the bike as it does add some additional value to the sale. The key to warranty is to either have all work and maintenance done at the shop or keep record of everything you do ( I do mean everything ) from service to repairs to guarantee the warranty.

I'll sure do that. Thanks for all the info. I'll send you a note the next time I go to Lipan.

Sounds good to me, I guess you go by on twenty on your way or do you take secondary routes?

I take 20 to 281. The friend I have there knows the scenic roads, I haven't had a chance to learn them yet. I'm sure you probably know a few yourself. All this local driving is a pain here in the rats nest.

THe 1100 is new to me, But I did see in the service manual, the ordeal of changing the oik filter. I will assume that theO.R.K. is something that makes the process easier.

PLease explain, and where do I get one?

    Thanks, David. tapo2

I assume that ORK is something to make filter change easier. Please explain.
And where do I get one?

    Thanks, David.

ORK = Oil Filter Relocation Kit

Basically, you replace the oil filter cover assembly with a new assembly that has oil lines that connect to an external oil filter. So you do not have to remove the exhaust, etc to change the oil filter.
