I need opinions on which design to use for my new fender trim. I am custom building a new fender trim for my rear fender and I need to know some opinions from you guys. my favorite is the spiked trim. keep in mind this will be chrome and not paper lol. and on each side of the fender the trim will be mounted with a bullet style tail-light. i just need opinions on the point or smooth..... pardon the Vickie's Secrets, GF left it on the coffee table and didn't notice till the pics were taken already lol. not that anyone will mind.

Both the wife and I vote for spiked.

I think it looks good the way it is, but if I were going to add chrome I would go with spike.

Spiked, definitely. It compliments the tapers well.

Squrlej, I and making the chrome accent to cover a flush mount LED project that didn't go so well. I followed the curve on the bottom of the fender and it looked like a smiley face, cus the turns are further up. I love the paint, but the LED'S didn't come out so good on the bottom. I agree with you, but I need something. so I am gonna make one or the other.

I like the spiked, but I will take the magazine on your table in the first photo.

I like the "spiked". It almost has the features of the oem chrome fender tip. Not exactly the same....but pretty close. Sorry it's partly covered by the liscense plate frame.

Dan, I was originally going to use the STAR Accessories tip like yours. however, the sides come up further than I would like and would cover some of the flames on the sides. that is the reasoning for the custom accent.

Ah, I see....I think it will look great Flamed. But then..........with that awesome paint, I'd even look good on that bike.Well...maybe not. But seriously, You did a fantastic job on the paint and I'm sure you'll do the same with the tip. Go for it!
