Purolator PL 14610 (Autozone or Advance) or WalMart SuperTech ST7317

Your more than welcome. I will try the Supertech filter next, I feel although the Purolator is top notch, the ST is only 2 dollars and is still classified as a "premium" filter. Plus the ST's are black in color, the Puros are yellow in color. One great thing about the Puro filters, they are larger, thus a little more oil, hence 5k mile changes on a synthetic oil is more reassuring. Might even keep the Raider's engine a degree cooler too.

K&N Oilfilters. Easy to change and work well

Don't forget to get one of these to keep the oil about 20 degrees cooler.

I have been using Yamaha filters, but I like the K&N chrome filters for only 17 dollars.

For only 17 dollars? My friend, the K&N filters are only rated "type 2" vs Walmart's Supertech, rated a "type 5" for ONLY 2.50! The best is the Purolator for $6. If you want the best, get a Purolator and buy a one time chrome oil cover to fit. See Oil Filter Autopsy : calsci.com

I do like the oil filter heat sink. Might not keep the oil that much cooler but it also protects the thing from rock damage.

I heard those reusable filters are impossible to clean out all of the way.
