Hey all....new guy here. (Obviously) lol

    I've got a 2002 V-star 650 custom with about 10k miles on her.

Today it started running rough though. When it's at idle it sputters and chugs until it stalls. Could it be bad gas? So far it runs fine while I have the gas reved up, but at idle it's a problem.

    Thanks all...

    Welcome to the site!

Drain the tank put in new gas and some SeaFoam. Sounds like plugged pilot jets or PMS circuit.

These things have a little fuel filter under the tank too don't they? It might be a little clogged.

Absolutely. Never hurts to change that out, I change mine every spring.

Thanks for the info guys. I just put in a couple gallons of 93 premium. I didn't drain the tank of the old gas as there wasn't more than half a gallon left. Hopefully this will help. I'll also change the filter too.

Ugh! I've never changed mine. I will tomorrow though lol. Obviously it's wayyyy overdue. I've got to pick up a new headlight and some oil anyway.

You would have been better to drain the tank. Don't forget the seafoam.
