hi all, need help in buying a chrome brake and clutch lever, brake perch for my yamaha vstar classic 2008. Found one from Kuryakyn part number 7419 for left and right, chromed.if anybody have installed it. also haved bought the master cyclinder brake cover from ebay and it doesnt fill as it should be. any info on which one will fit 2008 classic vstar wil be great help. bought most items from other country, cannot do fitting since item to buy not selling locally here in Brunei. project now is to chrome all handlebar accessories. i'll post some pic when all done in chrome.
I installed the 7419 levers on my 2007 classic. Went on easily. Just remember to grease the pivot points.
I also fitted the brake master cylinder cover. It was part number 9105 but I believe on a 2008 you will need part number 1744. Check out this link:

thanks for the info. i bought one last time from ebay the partnumber 1744, but as it say it will extend 1/2 above the mount clamp. that the thing i thought i was buying the wrong part. but doesnt look really fit the master cyclinder since extending 1/2. how the partnumber 9105, plaining to buy that model since it cover the clamp also. but as u say its only for model up to 07.
are the master cyclinder not the same size for vstar 1100 classic 2008 model.??
but thanks again for the info. bought few things wrong lately, since some website say it will fit yamaha vstar classic.
I wasn't aware that the master cylinder changed on the 2008 before I saw the kuryakyn site. Apparently something has changed but I haven't seen a 2008 closely yet so I'm just running off the info on the kuryakyn site.
I guess your best bet at this point is to measure the distance of the brake master cylinder above the mount clamp to decide which you need.
Did you buy the bike new?
Could just be they haven't verified it's the same yet. they may change the description soon.
