I played with this thing for the past couple of days and appreciate the input and encouragement from the 500 Club members.

This is a slide show showing my bike ("Sick Boy") from right after I put pipes on it, to about 4 months ago..and yes, it's going to be changing again soon. A lot of these modifications were done with the knowledge and guidance of other forum members....you know who you are and just know it's deeply appreciated.

Just click the pic below to go the the slide show.....I'd appreciate your comments!

That rocks! I love that front fender and what you did with the Classic rear fender, too. It was those long, sweeping fenders that I fell in love with on my Classic. Great presentation! Makes me wish I would have done some better photo-documentation when I started creating "Darth Vstar" (yep, I'm a nerd but at least I have a cool bike.)

Well, done sir! Well done indeed.

Awesome job. Just curious how come you still run stock pegs/shifter?

Mostly because controls are ridiculously expensive and there have been things I've wanted more. (They aren't completely stock...the rear brake switch has at least been removed in favor of an in line pressure switch. )

Like most of the stuff on my bike, I'm looking for something used and inexpensive or a way to make/modify them myself.

I've also got 2 more full sets of tins to get finished, intake/carb mods to get done, new handlebars and cables (my 4th change there), oil pressure gauge, ....and the list goes on....LOL. Controls are on the "someday" list.

There's no way I'd pay what most forward controls are going for (even if I could toss the lettuce around like I wanted)! There just isn't that much to 'em. Anyone with a grinder and a drill press could make in a few hours what they're selling for 500 bucks. Get 'em chromed if you want (or powder-coated) and you just saved yourself $400.

Honestly, the controls on your bike look good. Another piece of chrome there would just be a distraction from everything else you've got happening.
