Baron's says you have to lube their cables, prior to use. They told me that the lube instructions are included with every shipped order of cables. They wouldn't tell me over the phone what the procedure is. Does anybody know? I don't care for Barnett Cables' method. Very messy, and I got more lube on my hands than on the cables.
I hate it when you can't get a straight answer to a simple question! I'm not sure if Baron's cables are different from the ones I have...I just use one of those funky cable oiler tools and it seems to work OK. Here is a web site with some more info that might help...
motorcyclecruiser.com/tech/lubing_control_cables/index.html
Not sure if that helps or not....
Has anyone installed "Teflon-lined" throttle cables?
Any comments, good, bad?
Where would you find this type of cable?
