Hi, I noticed there isn't that many choises for lower deflectors on the stratoliner, I know about the buck lowers (they seem to be the only legit lowers for the strat), I also heard about the Memphis shade lowers but looks like they only sell the plastic, no brackests??? has anyone used these?, I live in Oregon by the columbia river gorge, I'm talking a lot of wind, any advice on this, let me know.

Lowers are really ony good for a headwind, a quartering or sidewind will still hit you. I've heard the bucks do a great job.

If you do a search on Buck Lowers you will not find one person who is not happy with them. I was about ready to sell my Strat because of the head buffering. Now that I have the lowers on the bike it is soooooo much better. Something to do as you are riding. Take one of your hands off of the handlebar and place it in front of your chest (Palm down). As you go down the road you will feel all of the wind coming up, buffering your hand around. Believe it or not Buck lowers takes care of this buffering like you can't believe. I didn't want to spend the $$$ on them but without them I would had sold my Strat and lost a whole lot more than what they costed. My next purchase from Buck will be the oil filter guard. I can just see myself on some lonely roadway kicking myself in the a_ _ with a hole in my oil filter.

Hello, wanted to resurrect this threat shortly to inquire about how Buck's lowers work with the lightbar - assume no issues but thought I'd ask... thanks!

I have the Buck's lowers with the light bar and had no issues with installation or otherwise. Great purchase.

I have Bucks on my 08. I have the light bar with no problems and I have the stock engine guards and the come close to hitting. I'm going to take a drommel tool to the lowers just at 1 small area to get a little more clearance between a spot on the engine guards and the lowers. Probably take me all of 2 minutes.

Along with Buck's lowers, I installed the Rifle windshield that uses our stock hardware. They are about 3" wider and the combination made a big difference.
