Has anyone found or made a low fuel indication for the 1100 Vstars? I hate the way I know I am very low or out of gas - the engine cuts out, and I must switch over to reserve. There must be something out on the market for this. Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated or links to where I can buy this wonderful addition to my bike would be wonderful.

No fuel gage kits that I know of. Don't understand the big deal about not having one. I fill my tank up then before I start the bike I set the trip meter to zero when I reach about 150 miles on the trip I stop and fill her up again.

heheh got the same questions as yours, seem that there no people making this fuel gauge for vstar1100. have to realy on the trip then. have the same problem last month ran out of gas on the highway at tripmeter 130. switch to reserve but nearly not reach the fuel station.

I use my Odometer - fill my tank up and when I'm at or near a buck 25-30, I fill it up again. Nothin to it.

Actually, I meant to say 'trip meter' not odometer and lets facve it, a little planning goes a long way to NOT running out of gas.

Right on FadMan the trip meter works as well as a fuel gage in my opinion.

Tripmeter works good for me. I only had one bike that had a gauge and it wasn't all that accurate.

Before all this cool technology, you had to estimate the mileage and then fill up or wait to run out and then go to reserve. I guess all that trail riding in my early days helps me now because to me its the same way. Filler up at the beginning of the ride and top it off at around 130 miles. Not a big deal!
