I want to move my license plate to the side, Im not really sure to find the kit for this. Also I was wondering what other people have done after moving the plate. Having the wires exposed just does not cut it for me. Thanks!
Check Baron's I think they make side mount brackets. Never did one so can't help with the wire question. Also make sure it's legal in your state.
I plan on making my own out of bent steel and adding a tail light to it. The tail light is going to be one LED unit with blinkers and tail light all in one. i will post some pics if you are interested, but it may take a couple of weeks.
If I was going to do it, I would go with the one from Ziv. It's about half way down the page. It is a universal fit.

I got my side mount license plate off ebay for 12 bucks it universal. changed my tail light out to a clear alternatives l e d light with integrated blinkers so therefore all the wiring went under the bike now as far as the holes are concerned i left the rubber grommets in place and got some bullet styled license plate bolts and they fit perfect in the holes looks pretty cool having two spikes in the back fender above the tail light
yeah id love to see some options for the tail light. Ive been searching but haven't found anything I really like. Thanks guys!
try ebay.....bob
ive actually found a few but I don't know if they will work because of the saddle bags
Really simple if you move the plate. Put a 1940 style Indian taillight on it an mount your turn signals on the sides of the fender with a turn signal kit as well. Pcs and Kuryakan and others all have the side mount brackets as well as the turn signal kits etc
there simple to build, I have built a horizontal one and a vertical one, just be sure you allow clearance to the ground and also if you have saddle bag brackets.
