Anyone know of anywhere online that has good prices for new batteries? The cheapest I could find near my house is $144. Dealer says $157. Seems a bit high, but I'm not sure cause this is the first I've had to replace the battery.

    Thanks,
    Mike

ebay has batteries from $65 to $100 plus about $15 for shipping....measure your battery so you get the right one...all the batteries that say 1100 classic, custom or dragstar will fit your bike.....bob

Check out batterystuff.com. Just picked up a battery for my 650 there. Prices were the best I could find, and they have free shipping.

make sure to measure. I myself just finished wrestling with an oversized battery this evening I ordered online at the recommendation of vstar1100.com/vstar_1100_battery.htm

Valid recommendation, good price, and even a bit of an upgrade, but I didnt factor in the custom pipes making room a little tight.

I'm not sure what is with other dealers. but the local dealer in my area gets $99 for the OEM battery right off the shelf. maybe it's the location? I always hear about batteries being 150-200 from the dealer and the local dealer here is 100 bucks. just wondering....
