Has anyone ever had the need to apply Lock-Tite (or any other brand of bolt tightening liquid) to the Brake Reservoir Banjo Bolt to keep brake fluid from leaking?

My hose is not leaking from a loose banjo bolt. I was just curious, for future reference.

It's been a while since I've had mine apart, but usually you don't need thread sealant on any brake fittings. They are designed not to seal on any threaded area because the extreme pressures in a brake system would cause leakage. they normally seal on a flattened part of the fitting instead.

    Hope that helps...

You could apply a slight amount of blue loctite #310? I think it is the removable kind to assure that the bolt stays tight. But the seal is created by the flat surfaces of the fitting.

I'd be worried about introducing anything into the brake fluid. If you mix that and bleach you have a smoke bomb. If it leaks just change the crush gaskets.
