I'm liking the look. Too bad there wasn't a better way to hide the bolt holes for the oem turn signals. I do like the relo though. Your bike is looking lower than mine with a 2.25" drop. What did you use?

That is a good looking ride. You gonna tell us how some of it went? I want to know about the slam and the front fender drop; is the fender mount just redrilled? I have been looking at the front bracket lately but thought about other fenders too.

    Great bike,
    Dwayne

I used the Baron Air Ride system for the v-star 1100. The front is still stock, but eventually I throw the progressive springs on.

Basically, it was just drinking beers and staring at my bike for the past two years. But now it starting to come to fruition. The rear is on air suspension, while the front is stil stock. As for the front fender drop, I just drilled new holes, but have to adjust because it's too close to the tire (actully burnt the paint into a pretty cool black stripe on the fender.) The signals are recessed into the fender struts. I made a bracket for the license plate to attatch to the swingarm. As far as the bars go, that was the toughest part. I had to cut the bars in half to fit the stock risers, and then run the wires through...wew what a pain. As for the rest of the stuff, TAK, FMS, pipes, and axle covers that was all bolt on. Thanks for looking!

Looks great, you've got some different mod's there. My question is the upper belt guard; did you mod the stocker or is that after-market?

    Thanks bro,

I wanted black at first, but somehow got stuck with the blue...but it worked out and I'm totally happy with my 1st Luv!

Not a big apes guy, but I love the look you've created. Quite possibly one of the finest custom 1300's I've seen. Can we get some close ups/details about drilling the front fender to fit the wheel closer? Any issue with the clearance on there? Where'd the tak come from?

The front fender is a little tricky, and I'm still adjusting it. Actually, it was too close the first time, and I burnt a black stripe into the fender from underneath...which I must say it definately adds to the uniqueness. I'll probably work on it this weekend again, so I'll take some shots and post them up for you.

It's the stock. Painted with a can of 99 cent primer and semi-gloss black after sanding it down. Then I used a uni-bit to get the holes. I personally like it better than chrome.

Very nice, it looks like a whole new machine, I dig the rear blinkers, all in all it looks so much longer and lower than your average 1300. Blue gives it a good look. Even the silver stripe on the tank looks better with the style that your bike is putting out. Very nice work.

I'm interested in the forward controls, where you bought them and part number.

    Thanks
