    Hello all,

I really enjoy my 650, and would be interested in hearing about what you have done to improve the performance of your machine, as well as mods you would avoid.

    Thanks in advance!

Put a hypercharger on and a free flowing exhaust. Dont let the dealer rejet and dont replace the pilot jets.
Avoid the dyna 3000 and barons torque masters.

I have to agree with Nick. Freeflowing exhaust and intake are a must. Check out this site:

The only thing I am unsure of is whether or not to use the Dyna 3000 after all the mods. Most say that the Dyna 3000 doesn't do anything for a stock bike besides raise your rev limiter but there are some people who heartedly beleive the Dyna does make a difference with performance exhaust and intake. I dont have a Dyna 3000 one yet, still debating the pros and cons.

From what I've read on ccnd. The 3000 doesnt do much for the 650.

Yes but it offers a chance to tweak the timing curve as well. From back when I was hopping up cars that was one of the things we used to do after free flowing exhaust and intake; change weights, springs, vacuum advance and adjust the baseline timing.

Not sure who it was but I think it was Metric Sal was strongly suggesting it after the mods.

Again like I said I've not tried it so I have no idea for sure.

Ya, Sal has it. I think he said he really noticed an improvement after he installed the single carb.
