Hello all. I am looking for an aftermarket carb cover for my 1100 classic. I found a billet one with engraved flames on it in the past but havent been able to find one since. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Use the keyword "air cleaner" on eBay, and damn near every other possible online site you can find. Pay particular attention to manufacturers and plug in a google search.

Eventually, you will find what you seek... I did

I already have an aftermarket aircleaner. I am actually looking for the cover on the left side of the bike. It is located where the idle speed control is. Right now the stock one is a small plain cover. Surely someone makes an aftermarket chrome piece for this.

That's where I put my Stebel Nautalis air horn. It covers that area completely, but it's probably not the look you're going for. The only "after-market" cover I've seen for that spot is at Maxair Engineering.

I've seen a replacement for that.....a chrome skull with red eyes that light up. It's kind of cool, but I can't remember where I saw it. I'll keep looking and if I find it, I'll let you know.....

I think it could be modified to replace the cover on the other side...

I went to Wal-mart in the truck hitch department they have the skulls (with LIghted Eyes) and Maltese Crosses etc. that go in hitch receivers, they cost approx. 19.95 and are real easy to modify to cover both sides of the carbs. You can see the skulls on my bike (Ghost-1) on the first page of the gallery, they are real cheap and they are the same skulls that are shown on many bike sights. If your interested I can take a better picture so you can see them on my bike and even supply you with a sketch of the bracketts I made to mount either the skull or Maltese cross. As I said if your interested e-mail me at mailto:Ghostridervstar (at) msn.com and I will send you pic's, a sketch of the bracketts and how to mount them. Its easy to build no special tools needed.
