Your are so right, delphi is very bad format. Let Mike go. He has been a big help but he is not needed. What I don't like about this 4M is:
    What is the best color
    Who has the most miles
    Who has gone the fastest.
    and on and on.
I just wish we could grow up a little and just use this 4M to help each other out with tech issues and such.
    Just my 2cents

I too, like the technical info passed around here tezerdhi, so I agree with you there. But I don't see the harm in a little testosterone flinging, since we are proud of our personal choice in our bike. I for one, certainly enjoy all of the stares and comps I get on my ride, but I do not throw it in people's face when out in public,I have respect for all people's bikes, from HD's to mopeds, so the forum is the place I feel as though we can have bragging rights.

I am with the guy who said that the FCC does not regulate this forum, so the moderators should relax. But I have been down this road before here.

People also come and go, so I won't lose any sleep.

Finally, on the "Do you like your job" kind of threads, I think that they would be reduced by putting a little chat room in the forum. It will allow people to shoot the sh!t but and keep a cleaner forum. Something to consider.

I gotta be honest when I say I aint gonna be sad if one of you or all of ya leave. Its just a forum, if we were friends Id have your phone number. Its fun conversating on our bikes and exchanging laughs and good info on mods but other than that I could care less about the having to leave posts. Ive had my posts erased and I will agree with the moderator that I definitely push the line sometimes.

I'd like to hear a response from the moderators here. Editing stuff that is "over the line" is one thing, clearly there are folks that feel something far less acceptable is going on. Mods, what say you?

I must say that mike is one stand up guy. The dealer wanted to charge me $250.00 for the PR BAK install. Mike did it for Nothing and gave me a beer. He also relocated my Left side coils and hooked up a better horn under the cover. I met him on this forum. Although people do come and go daily on forums some shouldn't be pushed away Via Moderation.. Who are the Moderaters? Why don't they identify themselves with a Moderater logo? Do they own Raiders? I don't post much but read everything and this site is very clean. Remember we are all adults NOT children.
    Thanks for everything Mike..

I agree, Mike seems to be a stand up guy and it's a damn shame to see positive contributors get pushed out by questionable moderation.

    Seriously

Several moderator initiated issues with Pawpy and Mike and not a single explanation.

Many of you post in other Raider forums.

    Dont support this anarchy.

    Last post for me.........

Whatever you want is cool for me. I still believe this forum is good for a lot of information regarding Raider mods.

Moderators are actually identified in the same manner as the different classes of riders are identified, eg. 'Newbie" etc. If you look out for them you will find that the Moderators are Yamaha riders and not necessarily Raider Riders.

If you guys are on the delphi forum you know that they remove more threads than here. I just replied to a topic last night with 20 posts. The next day the whole topic was removed. If you guys want a forum with no regulations youd have to make your own. Ill be glad to go to a new one but there is none out there.

The loss or any one member saddens me regardless of how much they put into the site.

However society has conventions and unwritten rules on how to behave, usually called bad form or rudeness. Calling people on, vaguely threatening people, racism or general disrespect are considered bad form. Other poor behaviours are actually against the law, direct threats, or suggesting suicide are just some of the few.

People breaking those conventions or outright breaking the law are detrimental to the site overall. New members that arrive only to find racism, hate or open conflict soon leave to find a more open minded and receptive site. It's my job to keep this site friendly and focussed on Yamaha motorcycles. To that end I will delete posts that break the law or cause conflict. The only reason the poster will likely recieve is an automated deleted post email from YMF with a short explanation, usually just one word.

I hate to see members leave but the good of forum is my first responsibility. I can't compromise that responsibility, even to cater to a strong, very helpful poster. That's the bottom line.

To those who have left I wish them all the best in future endevours.

Don't know what people were taking offence at must have missed some amusing posts

I've known of Mike through rswarrior (I've a different handle on there) for some time and for those of you who want tech help through the forum driving off people like him is like cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Shame some folk can't respect different perspectives. You don't have to agree with them. You don't even have to buy the guy a beer. But crickey!Life would be right boring if we all had to be stiff and proper PC muppets.

Isn't this meant to be a biker forum!?! If it ain't illegal what's the problem.

If some are a bit too sensitive to handle clicking out (traumatic as it is) of a thread that isn't their cup of tea why don't we ask the grand poopa to split the Raider forum into a number of sub forums, e.g.:
    1. techie stuff & mods
    2. trips meets clubs
    3. Anything goes

Good post, good idea, but don't think it will fly,I'm just hoping things change before more get fed up, i mean for goodness sakes our forum has more censorship then television, but reading some of the recent threads and different posts have surprised me,the way I'm beginning to see it is, if someone don't like the way an issue is handled here, JUST LEAVE, so we can stab you in the back.If this has offended the ones with tissue paper skin, I'm sure you'll let me know Later Rob
