wondering if the hypercharger adds any more horsepower on a v-star 1100?
It definitely does add some HP. The Max Air probably adds more, but the "cool factor" of the Hypercharger is definitely worth considering. Add some pipes and a carb rejet to get the full bang for your buck.
if you want more horse power the hyper charger will let more air into the motor but unless you are letting the air out( i.e. exhaust ) it will not help much. but with a hyper charger and a free flow exhaust, HANG ON

what would a good exhaust combo to work the hypercharger? im thinking about vance & hines long shots
I have installed a hypercharger on my 06 1100 custom along with pcs curburner pipes , and a dynajet jet kit. had trouble getting the jetting right. After pulling carbs and rejetting 3 times I decided to step back and start over so I removed the dynajet kit , needles and jets reinstalled the stock needles and installed the jets that came with the hypercharger and now bike runs great. and yes it did wake it up.
I noticed that PCS now sells jet kits. It might be worth the time to drop them an email to see if you can get any recommendations. I took mine to the shop after several attempts and they got it set really nice.
quicgmicg im looking at doing a hypecharger w/ cobra bub jub huggers. where would you say you get the most gain. accel or top end? and how much of a true difference does it make vs. stock. if you can remember that far back, lol
