Ok Pavbj requested it so I'll throw it out to the membership. What do you use to clean your ride? Post a pic and give us your ideas.

Me I use Lemon Pledge. When I got back into riding I figured there had to be a bunch of great new products on the market. And I tried quite a few. S100 came out pretty much on top, but I went back to lemon pledge. Pledge works on everything you have on your ride from chrome to paint to your bug screen. It's an old biker trick that no-body has bettered yet.

One of the new products that I am impressed with is Eagle one Nano polish. When I first put it on I thought "this is nothing special, another waste of $10." Then next morning I went out and It looked like the bike was polishing itself overnnight. I thought Cool! I am still impressed with it as it seems to keep working even after I am done with the elbow grease.

For washing I've been using Kit liquid car wash, has carnuba wax in it that way every thing gets a wax coating on it. Get ya a toilet bush and mash the head...makes for a great brush that can get into the jug cooling fins & wheels. For wax I've been using Turtle wax Ice, real easy stuff to use and you don't have to be worried about what it gets on as it leaves no residue.

PLEDGE!! It's the best thing since sliced bread! My wife thinks I work for them. I find myself starting a conversation with strangers by asking "Have you tried Pledge".

What I have in my arsenal is 2001 Turtle Wax (every once in a while), Pleadge (of course), a real chamois cloth (shammy, not sham wow)...i think that a real chamois that it damp is great for chrome finger prints, and finally 0000 steal wool...which is great for pipes or any other real chrome. CAUTION: shiny plastic is NOT real chrome...test on a tiny spot if you have any doubt to what it is...this is great for boot or splattered bug on pipes though.

I have been using Simonize for my cars and now the bike, pledge is a total surprise, my wife uses it regularly around the house, I hadn't considered it at all. After the next wash it'll be lemon pledge.

Gman, I agree with your toilet brush, I have been using one for years, mine is a flat type, it used to make my kids shriek (LOL) when I would ask them to use the toilet brush on the rims of the car.

I'd be careful using Lemon Pledge. General opinion is that while Pledge is great for bikes, the bees like the lemon scent just a bit to much . So just to be on the safe side, I'd use almost any scent Pledge except lemon!

Mac, Do you make house calls?
Sorry about this but ever since I bought my first Yamaha the dealer recommended Honda spray cleaner/polisher. It works great on everything including windsheilds. I imagine it is equivalent to Pledge.

Bee's can't fly as fast as I ride my 1100. I know because every time I hit one it's alway from behind. I always hit the stinger end!!!

I have the same question , do you spray it on the cloth them wipe or spray the bike then wipe?
I use a baby bottle brush for the hard to get to places. I use turtle wax on the painted area's and windex on the others, but I think the pledge will be added to the equipment list.
I have some of these really soft rags for buffing after its all cleaned up.

no pics with me, (I'm at work.. shhhhh... don't tell my boss ) I have to agree with the people who use Eagle One Products.... I've always been a big fan. Never used pledge, but I know for the REALLY tough smudges and bugs WD40 works like magic.

    To pikmige & FD,
I use the Pledge alot. Usually when I take a quick ride in the evening afterwork there is no time to wash the bike. I just pull it in the garage grab a cloth and Pledge and go to it. Windshield, paint, chrome, saddlebags etc. you get the picture. Give it go. JUST MAKE SURE THE PLEDGE DOESN'T HAVE THE HARSH CHEMICALS. SOME OF THE DIFFERENT CLEANERS HAVE SOME SORT OF SOLVENTS. THIS IS NOT GOOD FOR THE PLASTIC. There is also a product called "Plexus" specifically made for plastics and lexans.
