How a 5'9' guy solved all his "comfort" issues:

As most of us (shorter) Liner riders know - the stock setup can be uncomfortable. I have been working on "dialing in my Stratoliner for close to a year now. Here is what I did to solve my issues and thought perhaps someone else might benefit from the experience. NOTE: these are not necessarily listed in the order the mods were performed.

    1. Put on Ultimate seats with driver's backrest (great comforts but raised me up a little).
    2. Lowered the bike 1 3/4 inches (put me back where I wanted to be)
    3. Installed a Rifle tall and wide shield (took care of the buffeting)
    4. Installed Buck's Lowers (see #3)
    5. Installed Baron's risers - (helped with the pullback but needed more)
    6. Installed L.A Bagger handlebars (latest mod - see below)

I have to say - that the L.A. Bagger handlebars really dialed in my bike! It was the final missing piece of the puzzle for me. Also - the risers AND the bars did not require longer cables just a little rerouting!

A few other "incidentals" that add to the comfort are my ISO grips (with throttle boss and BreakAway cruise - dually pegs - deerskin gloves

Of course like the rest of you - I have done other things to the bike but 1-6 is what has made this an almost perfect bike for me...

    Good info Sheb,
Mines nearly there, rivco risers, memphis batwing and a load of yam, bolt ons.
Next is going to be seat and lowering.
Did you lower front and rear?
Hows the cornering clearance I was going to lower by inch and a half.

Just had a look at your album, bike looks great mate, is it lowered in those pictures.

Just lowered the back. I have not had any problems with cornering - even 2-up. However I did just order the "shortie" kickstand from Barons. With the wife on - I have to lean pretty far to the left to get the stock kickstand up...

I'm 5'8.5" with a stock '06 Strat and find it just right! I bought the bike new last July and have put on 6000 miles. I don't need to change a thing...lucky me!

    Hey Sheb,
Your bike looks awesome. I already have the Yami tall windshield, Barons risers. Short list is Bucks lowers and Brake Away. My buddy with the Cobalt blue just got the Bucks and loves them.
