    hello again,

I have decided that the GAK kit just isnt working for my carbs, i seem to have a problem keeping the air filters on and im not sure why so i have decided to go with either a hypercharger or the k&n spike kit. im wondering if someone can show me a site that would be good to buy from for either and whats the advantage of one over the other. any advice would be great!

    www.thundermfg.com

    Here's your spike:
    thundermfg.com
    adapter: thundermfg.com
    and a Hypercharger:
    thundermfg.com
    adapter: thundermfg.com

Both require separate adapters sold by these guys.

Sorry you had so many problems with it.

How do those spike kits hold up if you happen to get caught in the rain?

    mikey,

i think it might partially user error. I have tried everything to tighten the clamps down and make them stay but after a ride once again the claps are just there for show.

whats the difference in preformance? I like the looks of that HC but i wanna go preformance, rather than show.

From what I have heard the best performance is acheived with the HC and open pipes. I had the baffles off my slip-ons a few weeks back, had jetted to cover for it, and can believe it.

The spikes look super cool but wet weather riding quickly defeat and flood the filter. Covers are out there to help prevent that.
