this full synthetic oil sure quiets valves on the 1100....they drove me crazy before with all the ticking.....now i have to hold my ear to the engine to hear them...i just checked them again and they are right on...i thought they may have gotten tight....anyone else notice this....b

I'm going to have to try that on my 1300 'cause the constant ticking just kills me. That and new exhaust.

Nearing 2K on my 950T and changing to Amsoil 10-40 this next weekend. I have the ticking also and hoping it will eliminate it.

i fought going to full synthetic oil...it turned out it is the best move i made...2 friends that have been racing motorcycles for 25 plus years convinced me to make the change....they both use one of these 3 full synthetics over the last 5 years....amsoil, mobil one and motul....they say these work the best for them...dont waste your money getting a synthetic blend...get full synthetic.

It also generally seems to make the shifting a bit smoother...or at least removes the annoying "clunk" that these bikes often get while shifting. All in all, I've been pretty happy with the switch to synthetic a couple years ago...

it sure made my 1100 quiet...it should help quiet the 1300....the only other thing that works...... is when you adjust the valves keep them a bit on the tight side....just be careful you dont get them to tight.
