Well I pulled the trigger, and ordered the Maxair Kit. CSR kit, and the maxmix screws, and Cobra Slashcuts, I have the Exhaust, waiting on the Maxair stuff.. Also got the Night Sky Custom "no Chirp" plugs. I'm off work next weekend, So I've got plenty of time. We'll see what happens..

You are going to love it when your done! Take your time with the Maxair kit be patient with the float adjustments and you shouldn't have any problems.

    Good luck and enjoy!

Sounds like the same deal I did this spring. You'll love it. Sounds awesome and feels some much more powerful. Do you have an ORK on that bike. With the Cobra pipes, it's even harder to do a filter change. I did the ORK at the same time. Good Luck.

No ORK right now, I think I've pretty much got as much out of my wife as I can. I don't think I can convince her that I "NEED" anything else right now. I'm fairly confident that with what I've learned here I can install this stuff with no problems, at least I hope.

You are probably going to want an ORK at some point - changing the filter with those pipes will probably be a pain. Just ask your wife to help you change the oil next time - she'll be on the phone placing the order before you know what happens.

You and I communicated offline about this. I think you will be very satisfied with your choice. Make sure you ask for help if you have any questions. A lot of people can help you - both here and on the Maxair forums.

I just got the Maxair stuff myself. Now I just need the time to do it. I hope to have time to install it midweek. If you get to it before me then I'd like to know your thoughts on it. I'm planning on doing my valve adjustments at the same time since I'll have the tank and seat off. I also plan on running some longer permanent hoses with some stops for my carb sync tool. That way I will be able to sync it without having to pull the tank off again. Good luck and I hope your install goes well.
