Went and bought a new rain suit today. I put it in my saddle bag still in shopping bag. Didn't latch bag to full, when I got home it wasn't in the bag. I back tracked and no luck. Someone just got a $65.00 rain suit, Merry Christmas. I should have known better.

I feel more sorry for the person who probably hit the cooler while it was laying in the middle of the road.

If you prefer the look of soft bags I would look into the river road quick release bags. Just my $.02.

it's all small streets and a 25mph speed limit...i told him a few kids probably found it while riding around on their skate boards-now he's gonna get locked up for giving beer to minors...

Man that was some good beer. Two kinds of beer,,,,free beer and cold beer. Both good but together. Bonus.
I lost the right glove of my favorite pair of gloves that way. I said to my self "I will go tomorrow and look for them". I started out to walk the short distance only to find the mowing crew in front of me.

Last spring I was riding with open finger gloves down a six-lane road in the shopping area of Gainesville when my wedding ring slipped off. I had only been married a few months and this was the first time it just slipped. By some miracle I heard a metallic Ping over the noise of the wind (it was a 45 mph zone) and the noise of the bike so I looked left and down towards the noise and there it was - rolling along at 45+ mph next to my bike! I was on the inside lane so I grabbed some brake and pulled the bike up on the divider. I must have spent 20 minutes walking up and down a 500 yard stretch of that divider looking for the dang thing. I was beginning to wonder how to explain this situation to my wife when I saw a glimmer parallel to my bike. Sure enough, it was my ring, between the outside and middle lanes in heavy traffic. Against my better judgement (and risking a spot on the 6 o'clock news) I ran out and grabbed it at the first opportunity.

    No open finger gloves!!!!!!!

Texas may get up to 107 degrees like Florida, but having been through Texas numerous times I know it doesn't get the 100% humidity that we get on a daily basis. If its hot out, the open finger gloves are being put to good use. I just take my ring off first!

sorry about the lost suit. I lost my Brake pedal pad don't know how it got loose. rode the hwy 20 times looking on shoulder about where it came off no luck. Walked it too. I think the Biker trolls pickup all these lost articles and hoard them up in the center of the earth! Ha Ha just kidding.

From my experience the best way to find something lost is to buy a new one. Then you will find the lost item the very next day

Due to bungie cords, I lost : 1) a rainsuit in South Texas, 2) a bottle of mescale , in San Diego, 3) numerous cans of soda from 12 packs and much more that I don't remember , in all my years riding before my 12 yr. hiatus. Still want to cry, thinking of the mescale!

I think you did use your best judgement. Better to face the traffic than a wife in that situation.

My Dad is so bad at loosing things I bought him a shirt that had "Watch for falling parts" written on the back.

    true story..

The day after I had installed My GAK and new pipes I was eager to test out the bike and see the improvement. It was a cold spring morning, so i threw on all the leathers, and hopped on the bike. somewhere between my house and the park (a half mile) i lost my cell phone. I must have walked, rode, drove, skipped, and done everything other than hire a helicoptor to search for that thing.. I ordered a new one (almost 200 bucks) and still get bitter when I drive that section of road. However it taught me a lesson as well, because the very next ride broguth me to my local yammi shop and I purchased a toolbag.

Its a painful and expensive lesson, I know.
