So, I was out joyriding and took a nice curve. Unfortunately, I ended up dragging the pipes and now I've got some scratches. It's luckily in a spot where you won't see it unless you get up close and look at the underside.

Can you guys tell me what I can put on the pipes so that they don't start to rust where I dragged them?

Got the same basic setup as you do. (figured you had at least cobra longs to drag 'em), but I"ve dragged my cobra shorties as well. Got some REALLY deep/grooves/scratches on the underside of my pipes.
I wax the snot out of the pipes all the time, so that's all I can add as far as what to protect them with. Just a thought.

Just a thought, clean it up good and brush in a little heat resistant silver paint. It comes in spray but you wouldn't want to get any on other spots. I actually used it when I had the stock pipes to cover up those black weld spots, worked great.

I drag the snot out of mine. I don't have to worry about rust though. AZ weather dosen't allow that to happen. I would just keep an eye on it and clean any rust with a scotch brite pad. I can't see my scratches either unless really looking but my buddies behind me at night can see me making them. They started calling me Sparky.

Thanks for the advice. Glad I'm not the only one dragging my pipes around.
