    Question:

    Will the Cobra Freeway bars fit with Barons oil relocation kit on the 2006 VSTAR 1100 Silverado?

    Short answer: Yup.

    I have the Cobra freeway bars and Baron's ORK on my '05 Classic. No problems.

    Hello Jack:

    Thanks for the info, ebay had a Cobra guard. Got if for $142.00 with free shipping, plus ebay was running a discount trough pay pal. Got it for $128.00and no shipping. What a deal.
    The Cobra box was never opened and the guard was brand new.
    Installation was a bit tricky. The bar fit perfect. The problem was with the upper right side where it mounts to the engine mount. When taking the bolt off the Engine mount (right side), the bolt was rubbing against the screw as it came out. Messed the treads on the bolt a bit. Used a dremmel to open up the slot for the bolt (clearance). Chased the thread with a tap (10 x 1.25). Used a stainless washer and a cad-plated bolt at this time (original bolt to short used longer bolt). Replaced the other bolt to match cosmetically plus bolt is longer and has a shoulder). Will replace the Cad platted bolts with stainless bolts when I get a chance.
    As you stated the cobra quard and Baron ORK fit with no problems.

    I was going to post the same exact question as I am thinking of doing the same thing, good to know they are compatible. I thought they were from comparing pics but you never know...
    ...Just finished installing my Cobra highway bars, sounds like we have identical issues. Engine mount bracket rubbed the right side mount bolt and re-installing the same bolt proved impossible. Trip to Ace Hardware and a 10x1.25 tap cured to headache but what a lot to go through for a 15 min project.
