This is the model approved for California bikes.

It increases fuel "under acceleration and under load but not while cruising".

Link to the site is here:

I am wondering if anyone has used this, and if so your results.

I have the Roadhouse Slip-On and airbox mod, and I am concerned about it running too lean as a result (it really pops when I let off the throttle). I sure don't want it running hot because of being too lean.

    Thanks in advance.

I was thinking about getting this model but I've heard that it can not be adjusted at all. Computer goes by what the O2 reports... So, I guess you can't even use an exhaust without an O2 thread. You'll be fine since you have the Roadhouse. I have the Roadhouse, Thunder airkit (I'm guessing it's about the same as your airbox mod as far as the increased airflow to make the bike pop) and the FI2000 and it's a good combo. I installed pretty much everything together, so I can't say it improved on the popping issue.

Anyways, I got the closed loop "adjustable"model to get the best of both worlds.

Also, the ARB model is scarce right now, I think. I would just go with the closed loop model since the ARB is a "crippled" closed loop model with different programing.

    Good luck.

On the advice of certain, unnamed tech resources from Cobra and from a well-known aftermarket resource on the East Coast, I got the "non-CA" model.

The "CA-only" model wasn't even available when I got mine and since it wasn't recommended, I said what the heck.

Just in case anyone else is looking at getting a "California model" I first ordered one thru Custom Cruisers and waited and waited for 2 1/2 weeks and finally called and asked what was going on with my order.....Well they said that they could not deliver that part and that it was now unavailable.....So I thought I would call Shane at SSCustomCycles that people have been recomending and it looks like they are not even making the California model at this time. So if you want a FI2000 just ask for the Closed loop system.

By the way Shane is fantastic, if you are looking for parts I would highly recommend contacting him

I installed the Cobra FI2000R O2 P/N 92-1774CL about Feb 2007. All pots are adjustable (first pot only if O2 senser disconnected). Been running with settings 1-3.5-1.5 and so far am happy with it. I have a Hypercharger intake and Cobra Powerpro HP 2 into 1 exhaust.
