After getting married and having twins, I sold my KAW 650SR. (Felt guilty riding while my wife was home taking care of the little ones.) Now kids are grown, married, and time to ride again, YESSSS!!! So Just got my new Red Raider S Thursday, for my Birthday. I love it. Still working on being smooth riding it, but only have 60 miles on it so far. Like it MUCH better than the Harley Softail Custom I took out last year for a test ride. Some pics of the new fun machine attached.

Actually it is a silver metalflake pinstripe.. looks white from a distance. I did it myself.
    Thanks.

Looks like a great bike. I'm in a similar situation. I used to own a Yamaha 750 SE 15 years ago, but took grieve from my wife with the small kids. Now their grown up so it's time for me to ride again (I also can't stand listening to the motorcycles zoom around my house in the spring and not yern for my own). So I have been looking at many bikes and have decided on the Raider myself. I did look at Harley's, but don't want to pay the high price. Looked at Victory's as well - I like the Vegas. But then seeing the Raider - it has everything I want, plus a comfortable fit (I'm 6' 1"). The only complaint is that the Raider S doesn't come in black. I'll be pulling the trigger after coming back from vacation. Any advice before buying?

Do your reasearch & shop around for the best price! You'l love it that much more if you pay less. Most dealers are charging msrp or more.

I got the striping from a body shop. it is made by 3M and is just regular pin striping. This particular one just came out this year and I had to wait about 3 weeks for the shop to get it in after they ordered it. Part no. is 70120, It is Silver Starfire and 1/16" wide. Mfg. is 3M Scotchcal.

great thanks, it really makes those flames stand out. How does it fare in the weather?

Don't know, only had the bike a few days!!! I just did that to see if I would like it, it is temporary, it was a inexpensive way to try different striping. I tried yellow and orange first but didn't like it and took it off. Better to find out with striping that can be removed than get it painted and not like it. Since I do like the silver metalflake striping will have somone paint it like that, probably when this striping starts looking bad.

Yes I agree I bought the Raider S model for the same price as the Raven model. It was the 1st one they got in and together and they even held it for me untill I got down there to see it and to test ride it,now thats what I call service. After I rode this beautiful red metal machine I had to buy it and I took it home that day. That was back in October, and I am loving it more and more each time I ride it.This is ONE HELL OF A BIKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats Bink - you deserve it. I know the feeling as I've been waiting30 Years!
PJ - I'm still riding my '78 750SE like you had. She runs great, put it away while the kid thing was happening. Now, sometimes I come home and the kids riding it! No complaints as long as they're careful (both for them and my bike...them first)
Checking out a bunch of new ones. Looking at touring to keep mama happy, but damn the raider is sweet. Not ready yet cause we still got one in college but she knows I got the itch and it needs scratching.
Bink enjoy the new ride - ride safe.
