This has been on my wishlist for some time, but I'm wondering if it looks disproportionate for the 950.

Also wondering if I would actually be able to see over it...please don't laugh too hard.

Looks very nice to me, but I'm kinda bias toward the wing. You will like the protection it affords compared to the windshield, no wind up the sleves.

I think they look cool on any classic style bike. So absolutely it would look cool on a 950.

I think it looks great. If you can find one that offers a no-tools install/removal that would be awesome.

Personally....not my "cup of tea". Just too bulky looking and hides the beautiful chrome up front.

no tools option... this is the 950 Test Pilot here - I don't think anything will be no-tools until it is made specifically for this model! lol!!!

I'm getting a lot of goodies accumulated on the bars that I'd like to protect - radio, CB, GPS - and the wind protection I'm hoping will be superior. Plus, the look of the risers killed the low lean look of the front end anyways.

Jonezpoj, how high do they usually rise off the headlamp? I'm concerned it might be too high even with the lowest shield. If that's the case, I'll stop dreaming about it now.

Doesn't look right to me either, but hey 'make it yours.'

I have a 4" windshield on mine and look over it by 3". Also I pulled my headlight apart and adapted the ring into the H-D fairing. I'd get a measurement for you, but I'm out of town till the 20th.

Another thing to think about is whether you want to have all of those holes where the Harley gauges would normally be.

You can plug those holes with plastic inserts (like Jonezpoj did), or buy a fairing that didn't come with the holes. The only holes these second fairings had were for the radio and speakers.

I have seen these with holes for either 2 or 4 speakers.

I've got $550 in my fairing, just couldn't stand the thought of a fairing that costs a 1/3rd of my bike.

Can't blame you there, Jonezpoj. The ones that I have seen (that had only the stereo and speaker holes) were very pricey. You'd think someone would recognize the need for a reasonably priced fairing, and would do something about it. I would think a lot of riders would swing towards a fairing, if the fairings were more easily adaptable to our bikes, and were a little more affordable.

Just wanted to ressurect this thread. Saw the Memphis Shades batwing fairing for the 950 on E-bay for about $300

I didn't see for sure that one comes with the trigger mounting .... I was ready to buy one from a different EBayer but this store is cheaper ... and the one for a 650 does come with the mounts

I sure wish they would add pictures from the drivers side so I could see what it looks like from the riders view.

I believe the Memphis Shades is just the shell, no way to mount a stero and speakers.

Does anyone know if it comes with all the mounting required to put it on the bike, or would I have to buy it separate?

I guess I should be asking the seller, but thought someone here might know.

I imagine the price is for the fairing only. The mounting hardware kit would be sold separately. Also, the windscreen and lowers would be extra as well.

Shane at SS Custom Cycle sells the complete fairing kit with detachable mounting hardware, but you'll need to contact him for info since he hasn't yet updated his site to show it for the 950. I've seen a picture of one on a 950 and personally thought it looked VERY nice.

    Happy, healthy and safe 2010.
