<p>I learned a <a href="http://www.ymhmotoboard.com/topic/popping-on-deceleration" class="ymln">valuable lesson</a>, Hot day + new asphalt = stuck bike. I left my bike on a patch of newly laid asphalt in my townhouse <a href="http://www.ymhmotoboard.com/topic/how-to-prevent-sinking-kickstand" class="ymln">parking</a> lot and after a few <a href="http://www.ymhmotoboard.com/topic/what-do-you-wear-to-ride-in-when-its-hot" class="ymln">hot days</a> I found my <a href="http://www.ymhmotoboard.com/topic/how-to-prevent-sinking-kickstand" class="ymln">kickstand had sunk</a> about 3 inches deep. Luckily I was able to <a href="http://www.ymhmotoboard.com/topic/bike-washing" class="ymln">pull it back</a> up. I found a 4&#34; square <a href="http://www.ymhmotoboard.com/topic/i-goofed" class="ymln">piece</a> of wooden fence top to lay the kickstand on for now till I get me a permanent travel pad. I learn something new every day about being a biker.

<p>After a bit of a wait my much anticipated <b>Draxtar P-104</b> Helmet has arrived. Let me tone down the retoric and just describe it as...AWESOME!! The fit is fantastic, comfortable, stable, snug..but not too snug, ohh-hoe..(obscure Pee Wee Herman reference), and the ear cups are amazing. Really quiet and with <a href="http://www.ymhmotoboard.com/topic/handlebar-radio" class="ymln">my loud</a> pipes this should be kinda nice. My daughter said I look like &#34;Space Dad&#34; when I put it on. The chin strap is ultra nice, like it&#39;s not even there, and it has the european quick-release style fastener. The helmet is light too..feels really good when you move your head around. I is truly much more helmet than I expected. I got it from Germany so it DID take a while to get here..just over a month..but it&#39;s so darn cool it was worth the wait. <a href="http://www.ymhmotoboard.com/topic/yamaha-tour-deluxe-saddle-bags-now-19995" class="ymln">The price</a> was reasonable, we <a href="http://www.ymhmotoboard.com/topic/hello-from-the-croatian" class="ymln">in the USA</a> don&#39;t pay the European VAT so it cost me about $129.00 or so. It&#39;s rated ECE 2205 euro spec which is more stringent than <a href="http://www.ymhmotoboard.com/topic/not-snell-or-dot-but-ultra-funky-stupid-cool" class="ymln">Snell</a> so I feel it should be a pretty safe helmet as well. Indiana has <a href="http://www.ymhmotoboard.com/topic/helmet" class="ymln">no helmet law</a> so enforcement is not a problem but personal peace of mind is.</p>
<p>Here is the promo picture:</p>
<p><a target="_blank" href="/go.php?url=http%3A//s726.photobucket.com/albums/ww269/jamesblee/%3Faction%3Dview%26current%3Ddraxtar.jpg"><img src="http://i726.photobucket.com/albums/ww269/jamesblee/draxtar.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a></p>
<p>And here is me wearing it: </p>
<p><a target="_blank" href="/go.php?url=http%3A//s726.photobucket.com/albums/ww269/jamesblee/%3Faction%3Dview%26current%3DDraxtar002.jpg"><img src="http://i726.photobucket.com/albums/ww269/jamesblee/Draxtar002.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a></p>
<p>It&#39;s just a tad crooked..I was too excited to straighten it up for the photo..but it fits really good.</p>
<p><b>IF you are so inclined to get one you can find them here:</b></p>
<p><a target="_blank" href="/go.php?url=http%3A//www.fc-moto.de/epages/fcm.sf/secXIO9zIqnOSc/%3BSessionID%3D0a40285c1fb5bb2d98a2777b45a68568%3FObjectPath%3D/Shops/10207048"><font>http://www.fc-moto.de/epages/fcm.sf/secXIO9zIqnOSc/;SessionID=0a40285c1fb5bb2d98a2777b45a68568?Object Path=/Shops/10207048</font></a></p>
<p>Just type in Draxtar P-104 into the search box at the top left. Sizing is true to spec, a Large is a large and so-on. Similar to HJC or Z1R sizing. So this should put the freak on a few of my friends this Spring....I just love skid lids.</p>
<p><b>DRAXTAR P-104 Jet Helmet Black</b></p>
<p>Includes Visor dark smoke and it&#39;s really easy to change out..10 seconds max.

<p>a friend and i were finishing up a 2.5 hour ride south of Nashville, and I took the <a href="http://www.ymhmotoboard.com/topic/classic-tail-light-mods" class="ymln">turn</a> into my subdivision too fast. lowsided the bike at 25mph or so and slid to the curb. scratched up the windshield and saddle bags a little, but nothing major. the fork lock is a little hard to use now for some reason.</p>
<p>got a little rash on <a href="http://www.ymhmotoboard.com/topic/starting-carbed-bikes" class="ymln">my knee</a>, twisted my ankle (almost tore the sole off of my boot) and made my shoulder a little sore. my jacket (<a href="http://www.ymhmotoboard.com/topic/cortech-gx-air-series-2-or-joe-rocket-reactor-20" class="ymln">cortech gx air</a> 2) barely shows any wear, but it kept <a href="http://www.ymhmotoboard.com/topic/reason-for-the-season" class="ymln">my arm</a> and shoulder from looking like my knee.</p>
<p>learned some valuable <a href="http://www.ymhmotoboard.com/topic/captain-crash-60-second-lessons" class="ymln">lessons</a> today. i didn&#39;t slow down enough before the turn and didn&#39;t trust the bike to make it when i realized it. i stared right at the curb and hit exactly where i looked. </p>
<p>i feel the worst about scaring the bejeezus out of my friend...lol. i have to <a href="http://www.ymhmotoboard.com/topic/new-rider-scare" class="ymln">keep telling myself</a>, &#34;a cruiser isn&#39;t a sportbike.&#34;

<p>It truly pains me to post this, but the economy is taking it&#39;s toll. I have decided to sell my proven show bike. It has won 19 top awards and I have in excess of 35K in her. It is the best bike I have ever owned, has <a href="http://www.ymhmotoboard.com/topic/need-help-with-possible-vstar-custom-purchase" class="ymln">low miles</a>, and is in pristine condition.
<p>OK, what started as a ride down to <a href="http://www.ymhmotoboard.com/topic/best-motorcycle-video-ever-period" class="ymln">Beaver</a> <a href="http://www.ymhmotoboard.com/topic/ind-governors-ride" class="ymln">lick</a> Kentuck, and of course Big bone lick state park, had changed to a bud and I and the wife, then transformed into something else entirely, SO here we are</p>
<p>We will be in Florence KY. on july 16th. We will do a version of this <a href="http://www.ymhmotoboard.com/topic/laughlin-river-run-2" class="ymln">river run</a> on Sat. <p>on the 18th I plan to see<br /><a target="_blank" href="/go.php?url=http%3A//www.newportaquarium.com/surroundedbysharks.cfm">http://www.newportaquarium.com/surroundedbysharks.cfm</a></p>
<p>anyone who does not like sharks and fish???? PLENTY of roads to travel or places to hang out, I would like to see if I could get a rough count of anyone who wants to attend also, so I can possibly scout out a group rate on rooms, or at least find a place a little off beaten path so not to worry <a href="http://www.ymhmotoboard.com/topic/new-exhaust-rejet-or-not" class="ymln">about the noise</a> of us catching up with one another.</p>
<p>I dont plan on leaving the area <a href="http://www.ymhmotoboard.com/topic/2009-laughlin-river-run" class="ymln">till Monday</a> AM.</p>

<p>I need to remove the crank <a href="http://www.ymhmotoboard.com/topic/middle-shaft-problems" class="ymln">shaft nut</a> to replace an impeller <a href="http://www.ymhmotoboard.com/topic/1st-gear" class="ymln">gear</a> for the water pump. I removed the case cover on <a href="http://www.ymhmotoboard.com/topic/have-question-on-hypercharger-and-ais" class="ymln">the other side</a> to put a wrench on the crank nut on that side so the nuts won&#39;t turn. However it is very tight. Do I need to use an impact wrench to remove this nut. Also what is involved in changing <a href="http://www.ymhmotoboard.com/topic/clutch-wear-indicator" class="ymln">the seal to the clutch</a> shaft where it enters the engine. thanks.
